This Privacy Policy explains how Hayvest Technologies (“Hayvest”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use Hayvest Commerce OS (the “Service”), including our merchant dashboard, APIs, and WhatsApp commerce workflows.

1) Who this applies to

  • Merchants / Admin users: people who log into the Hayvest dashboard to manage products, conversations, carts, orders, and settings.
  • End customers: people who message a merchant over WhatsApp and interact with commerce flows powered by Hayvest.
  • Website visitors: people who visit our marketing site.

2) Information we collect

We collect information to operate the Service, provide support, prevent abuse, and improve reliability. The information we collect depends on how you use the Service.

A) Merchant/admin account information

  • Contact details (e.g., name, email address, phone number) used to manage your account.
  • Authentication identifiers and login metadata.
  • Merchant profile and configuration data you provide (e.g., brand name, WhatsApp IDs).

B) WhatsApp conversation and commerce data (merchant + customer)

  • Message content sent to/from WhatsApp as part of the commerce flow.
  • WhatsApp identifiers (e.g., phone number identifiers) and message delivery metadata.
  • Detected intent and structured events (e.g., product search, product selection, add-to-cart).
  • Cart and order details created through the flow (e.g., items, pricing, status timestamps).

Merchants control what they request from customers in conversation. Please avoid collecting sensitive personal information unless you have a lawful basis and clear user notice.

C) Product and inventory data

  • Catalog content (e.g., product names, descriptions, pricing, images/URLs).
  • Inventory and availability data merchants upload or manage in the dashboard.

D) Usage and device data

  • Log data (e.g., IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, timestamps).
  • Operational metrics (e.g., request IDs, error logs, performance telemetry).

3) How we use information

  • Provide and maintain the Service (including routing messages and generating commerce responses).
  • Operate merchant dashboards (products, conversations, carts, orders, analytics).
  • Improve reliability, safety, and performance (debugging, monitoring, fraud prevention).
  • Communicate with you about support, updates, and operational notices.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms and policies.

4) Legal bases (where applicable)

Depending on your jurisdiction, we process personal information based on one or more of the following: contractual necessity, legitimate interests (e.g., security and service improvement), consent (where required), and compliance with legal obligations.

5) How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:

  • With service providers that help operate the Service (e.g., hosting, analytics, databases, error monitoring).
  • With WhatsApp/Meta platforms to send/receive messages via the WhatsApp Cloud API.
  • With merchants whose WhatsApp channel you are messaging (end-customer data is shared with the merchant you are interacting with).
  • For legal reasons if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
  • Business transfers (e.g., merger, acquisition, financing) subject to appropriate safeguards.

6) Data retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and for legitimate operational purposes (such as security and auditability). Retention periods can vary by data type and merchant configuration.

7) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8) Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information. Merchants generally control end-customer conversation data generated in their channel.

9) International transfers

We may process and store information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

10) Children

The Service is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
